Saturday, May 21st, 2016: 10am-1pm. Forage and Feast
- Join me for a forage and feast at Millstone Farm. During this event, we will learn about and harvest edible plants (and possibly mushrooms) from around the farm. The focus will be on identifying plants by family. We will then bring our harvest to the kitchen and cook a feast, combining what we found with store bought foods to make a variety of delicious, nutritious and pernicious dishes!

Sunday, May 22nd, 2016: 10am-2pm. Forage and Feast
- Join me for a forage and feast, this time around Sticks and Stones Farm. During this event, we will learn about and harvest edible plants (and possibly mushrooms) from around the farm. That many of the weeds painstakingly pulled from your garden are in fact edible and more nutritious than what you can buy in a store? Throughout the walk, Hayden will discuss some common weeds and invasive plants (and possibly mushrooms) and their culinary potential.
- Location: Caryl and Edna Haskins Preserve. Green Acre Lane, Westport, CT
- Price: Free

Wednesday, July 13th, 2016: 10:30am-Noon. Backyard Foraging
- What are those plants in our yards we spend so much time and money trying to kill? Does it really make sense to buy organic food, then to spray our lawns to get rid of plants that are more nutritious than what we find in the store? (Hint: The answer is no.) Come learn about common weeds and their uses, and simple things you can do (or stop doing) to make your property a little slice of Eden.

Friday, July 15th - Sunday, July 17th, 2016: Forage and Feast Weekend featuring "Wild Man" Steve Brill
- Come spend the weekend in the woods and gardens at Sticks and Stones. Beginners and self-professed-plant-people alike will feel recharged after this three-day immersion in the plant world. There will be lots of wandering around the woods, getting to know new plants, and cooking delicious and creative meals. We'll also have Steve and Violet Brill to show us around and to share their extensive experience with foraging and cooking wild things. More information available here.
